Bonus! What I Read (And Didn't Read) in 2022
Alright, friends. I feel like I really learned about what genres I like (and don’t like) this year. I didn’t make a reading plan or list for the year. I simply read what I felt was next. And I kinda liked it.
The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles — An all time favorite and I’m already excited to reread it. Towles is a master storyteller and his characters are just brilliant.
Beach Read by Emily Henry — And this is where I found out I did not like Emily Henry’s books as much as the rest of the world.
The Midnight Library by Matt Haig — Meh.
It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover — Meh.
This is the Story of a Happy Marriage by Ann Patchett — Top non-ficiton of the year for me.
To Sir, with Love by Lauren Layne — Cute rom-com, fluffy and sweet without any spicy scenes.
Book Lovers by Emily Henry — Tried another one at the recommendation of a friend who also did not love Beach Read and it was definitely better.
To Kill a Mockingbird — Loved even more than I did in tenth grade
The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary
Habits of the Houeshold by Justin Whimel Earley
The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez
Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt
These Precious Days by Ann Patchett
Holes by Louis Sacher
Books I didn’t finish:
East of Eden by John Steinbeck
Meet Me in the Margins
Gentle and Lowly
Commonwealth by Ann Patchett
